Objectives

The Living Labs will produce strategies to foster the resilience in the short- to long term at various geographic scales; these geographic scales will correspond to the European agro-climate zones - areas where the soil, rainfall, temperature and water availability influence the type of vegetation as depicted in the Figure below. As seen in this Figure, particular emphasis is given in regions that are at high risk in terms of natural resources, in particular the Mediterranean, Central, and Eastern European regions (The Economist Intelligence Unit Limited (2021) Global Food Security Index 2020.
