Invitation:
We have been invited by DG RTD to host a FOOD 2030 Networks side-event in connection with their Food 2030 Conference on Green & Resilient Food Systems in Brussels on 4 December - see Food 2030 conference: Green and Resilient Food Systems (europa.eu). We are still working on the draft agenda for this side-event, which will take place on 4 December from 9.00 to 12.30 CET, but we expect to use this opportunity for meeting in person to:
• Continue the collaboration on joint communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities that will be initiated during our Common Online Workshop on 20 September
• Initiate cross-project collaboration on systemic solutions for addressing the challenges that we are facing in our efforts to transform the European food system.
Since there is a limit of 60 participants and we do not yet know which challenges and which systemic solutions we will focus on at the side event, we are not sending out invitations to the WP leaders that have completed the follow-up survey. However, you and/or your communication lead may already now want to SAVE THE DATE for this side event (and potentially also the conference organized by DG RTD) to make sure that someone from your project will be able to join.

5th Global Food security conference

09.04.2024 - 12.04.2024

Food system activities are increasing putting pressure on planetary boundaries and the natural resource base which underpins food security for all. They are also accentuating the triple burden of malnutrition for many, and healthier diets derived from more sustainable food systems are needed. Building on the momentum from the UN Food System Summit and recognizing that the 2030 target year of the Sustainable Development Goals is on the horizon, this 5th Global Food Security Conference will bring together science, business and policy to address this need.
